Institutional and legal framework development

Botswana has developed a legal framework for protecting rights of children. The implementation of the act at all levels of society still remains a major challenge. OVC serving organizations have not developed child protection protocols which make them vulnerable to systematic abuse of children. To this day, the Trust is unaudited with a lot of cases pertaining to this. Hence it’s a priority of the Trust to capacitate implementing organizations and the entire society on children’s welfare, rights and responsibilities with the ultimate goal of elevating the profiles of OVCs.
